About the swastik
The word swastika comes from the Sanskrit words su (good) and asti (is) and is linked with well-being. In Hinduism the right-facing form is an auspicious symbol that is connected with the Sun, prosperity and good luck. It is drawn or placed at house and temple entrances and is used at weddings and at Diwali. In Jainism the swastik is the symbol of the seventh Tirthankara, Suparshvanatha, it appears on the Jain flag, and its four arms stand for the four states of rebirth. Pyramid shapes are used in some Vastu practices, but there is no scientific evidence for energy claims. This is a decorative and traditional item and it is not guaranteed to give any result. Customs differ by family and region.
Use and care
Fix it on a firm nail or hook so that it cannot fall, and keep it out of reach of small children. Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth. Keep it away from water, acids and abrasive cleaners, which can dull the finish.
