About rudraksha
Rudraksha beads are the dried seeds of the tree Elaeocarpus ganitrus. They are sorted by their faces, called mukhi, which are the ridges or clefts that run along the bead, and the count usually runs from one to twenty-one. In Shaivism rudraksha is associated with Lord Shiva, and beads are strung into garlands to chant mantras such as Om Namah Shivaya. Lists that link each mukhi with a deity differ from source to source. These are matters of religious belief and tradition. They are not guaranteed to give any result, and no health, wealth or astrological benefit is promised. Customs differ by region and family, so use it as your tradition or pandit advises.
A note on authenticity
Rudraksha beads are copied, and a bead's mukhi count, species and origin are best judged by an expert. This listing does not state the origin, the species or whether a lab certificate is included. Please message us before you buy if you need these details.
Care
Keep the bead dry and away from perfume, chemicals and strong heat, and wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth. It is a small loose bead, so keep it out of the reach of young children and pets.
